There are some amazing new features coming to WhatsApp for Windows.
WhatsApp has officially replaced the old desktop app from the Microsoft Store with a completely new, polished WhatsApp for Windows UWP with minor changes such as a new UI, media zoom, improved notification controls, a shortcut menu, and so on.
This new WhatsApp for Windows has a new UI with sidebars and the ability to respond to status updates from the app itself.
Furthermore, following its release, this WhatsApp Windows app gained the ability to control the playback speeds of recordings.
Aside from that, WhatsApp released some more useful little tweaks to the app today. For example, the ability to zoom in on media files within the chat.
It also has a new shortcut menu that displays all related shortcuts and functions, as shown below.
And some minor settings menu improvements, such as displaying last seen and online controls but preventing us from controlling them from here.
It also has the ability to turn off/on message notifications while still receiving call notifications, as shown below.
As we can see, WhatsApp is developing a solid native WhatsApp for Windows application with many features and a similar experience to mobile.
Furthermore, according to various sources, WhatsApp appears to be getting polls as well, so follow us on Twitter to be the first to know.
