At last, you can view the status on WhatsApp (UWP) Desktop Beta.

As you may already be aware WhatsApp is working on a whole new native Windows (electron) application and it is continuously bringing features and updates to that. In addition, now WhatsApp also added the ability to view statuses through a new status button as follows.

When you press that button it will get you to the status list where you can view statuses from your contacts. Unfortunately, the WhatsApp beta does yet not have the ability to post or reply to statuses.

In addition, WhatsApp is also making the migration from WhatsApp desktop to WhatsApp (UWP) Desktop beta easier by automatically replacing WhatsApp desktop with the native version (WhatsApp UWP) when users install the native version from the Microsoft app store.
